Say what you believe and be ready to explain why. Dig into the bible, study the writings of great men and women of faith, pray for the Holy Spirit to provide you with understanding and revelation. Understand your faith, your Father and His Son. The Christian walk is not one solely of religious acts, it is a walk of faith.
Some believers wrestle with homosexuality: is it real or a perversion? can a gay person be saved? can a homosexual actually be a Christian? Do what Jesus would do and seek out the Father's will. Don't blindly follow the modern day Pharisees. They teach hate under the guise of religion. Their goal is to have power over governments, not to honor God.
Ask yourself why has God placed this burden to understand, to pray and reach out to homosexuals on you and what is it that you must do. Just because you have the desire to understand and serve God in this area does not mean you are or are not gay. It means you are obedient to Him who saved you and your desire is to honor Him first.
As a believer, one must study, pray, do works that honor God. Is marching in a parade waving banners of hate and casting verbal stones what God called His children to do? Show me where in the bible that is and I will show you a book of lies. Jesus marched into the temple and threw out its defilers. He condemned religious hypocrites, not the meek, lost or wounded. When asked what is the greatest commandment, Christ said to love the Lord your God first, then your neighbor as yourself.
Is homosexuality a sin? Find out what God's word says, search Him for the answer and do not rely on religious leaders to do the work for you. You are called to study, to show yourself approved, a workman not being ashamed by his lack of knowledge. Ask, seek and knock and He will answer.
